Got lunch with A, which was pretty great! :D

Also finally found sticky dots (it took... way longer than it should have...), and I've started putting up my new prints! All the new A5 ones are up yaaaaaay~ Still don't know where to put the A4 ones, bleh. Gonna put some bookmarks up, too, and maybe some sticker sheets. Also considering some super thin pin banners - out of thick fabric ribbon or something like that - for the sides of my wardrobe doors (the prints are in the middle, so there's not a lot of room). Will have to have a look at what we've got laying around; as usual I don't want to buy stuff unless I really have to.

Anyway, bed now. I had a nap when I got home, but I'm tired again because of course I am, hahaha.

Yeah didn't get a whole lot done today. But I DID go shopping with Mama and bought pj tops! I did that! I just kinda came home and crashed for the afternoon, sigh. Leaving the house: still kinda a problem, bleh.

Anyway, it is what it is! I probably won't get much done tomorrow, too, since I'm going out with A for lunch! But I'll at least get sticky dots, since they eluded me today (we checked out SEVERAL shops, but alas)

I'm also up stupid late given when we're supposed to be meeting, but at least I can rely on the cat alarm clock... Still. It's been less than a fortnight how am I already this far into nocturnal mode...

Big thing I did today was clean the bathroom; I got the steam cleaner out and everything. It's been needing a go with that for a while, but I REALLY didn't want to get it out when it was still hot XD XD XD Humidity woulda killed me then!

Also put my new pins and badges up on my pin banner - still gotta take the older ones I took down away, but I'm avoiding that. Mainly because I need to reorganise the shelves so that the thing they're stored in is easier to get at, etc. etc, and I'm trying to uh. Not start any more reorganisation projects until after I've dealt with the ones that're in progress...

Decided to make room for some of my new prints by taking down some of the ones that've been up for ~15 years, but I haven't actually put them up yet because I'm out of goddamn sticky dots. -_-;;; I'll probably pick some up tomorrow, or the day after if not. Should be tomorrow, though, planning on going shopping with Mama. (I thought, when I got my new pj pants, I didn't need new pj tops as well. I was _wrong. Sigh.)

...but for now I gotta go to bed because whoops it's late and Mama prefers to shop in the morning, before the crowds. (I do not blame her! Just. Ugh, mornings.)

Not that I put in HUGE amounts of effort today, but I applied for half a dozen jobs or so, so that's something.

Also did the chooks, and tidying, and other little things. Not as much as I wanted, but it's something! And I really don't want to overdo it and go into a depression slump, so I'm not trying to push myself, hahahahaha. Will try and do more tomorrow!

I also want to get started on doing little tech projects, starting with that mostly-finished logs one, but my brain isn't quite there yet. :/ Well, it's had A Lot of stuff the past week, so I'm not surprised, I was just hoping programming brain would bounce back fast. Alas!

So my parents got a new tv today. Which is good for them - the old one has been on the verge of breaking down entirely for some months now, so they've been thinking about what they want, and they managed to finally give away the old tv cabinet yesterday (I am sad, because I liked it, but it's from the 90s and really not designed for flatscreen anything, so I'm also sympathetic to their desire to get rid of it), so they went and got the new tv today. (They have a new tv ...cabinet? Stand? Sideboard? IDK what you call the lower-to-the-ground style in fashion now, that you put the tv on top of, rather than in. Anyway they found that a few weeks ago, second hand and very nice.)

As is usual, they asked me for help when they got stuck with things. As is also usual, the actual fix ended up being something unrelated to anything actually technical - today, the problem was they hadn't connected the antenna, so no wonder they couldn't get actual tv channels! (They'd connected what they THOUGHT was the antenna, but was the old pay tv input, which hasn't been active for at LEAST 15 years...) But you know, sometimes what you need is someone to just come in with fresh eyes, so even though it's annoying I don't really mind doing it. Mostly.

Other than that, not a huge amount. Lots of napping! Also been poking at some art for Azy, which has been fun.

Tomorrow I'm going to try and Actually Do Things, though. I've already written up a to do list and everything! (Unfortunately it needs to include some things I usually do on the weekend but uh... napping happened today so they didn't, heh.)

The con was... A Lot. Just. A Lot.

I enjoyed it, and made uh many many purchases, all of fanartist! (So many thing!) But also it was A LOT. Absolutely sure I didn't give some of the fanartists the attention they deserved, in between the overwhelm (cool things) and overwhelm (too many people), and the other booths, that I checked out after the fanart, definitely didn't get much of a look. (To be fair I don't tend to ping on official merch very much anyway so... there was a reason I left that section 'till last.)

I still think cons are more fun if you go with a friend, but it's not bad to go by yourself, either! I won't go to one again for a while, though, because they are. Definitely expensive. >>;;; I dunno how much I spent and I'm a little scared to look. But like my father said when I was showing my parents my cool stuff (on request!), I don't really have many expensive habits so it's probably fine occasionally!

Also there was someone selling buttons I got copies of the last time I was at a local con. WHICH WAS 2017. I did NOT expect to find anything from that long ago still in stock! I mean, they're great, and it definitely wasn't the full range from back then (and many many new things added), but STILL! :O :O :O

I did get a weekend pass, but I'm not gonna go tomorrow. Most of the draw for me, personally, is Cool Fanart Stuff; if I was going with other people or there were panels or whatever I was interested in, then another day might be fun, but as it is I don't have anything pressing. And I should... probably not spend any more money... >>;;;

I was there for something like six and a half hours, too, which is A LOT longer than I thought I'd manage! Pretty proud! :3 Now I need to go collapse for ...a while... though. Make the sore feet and headache go away! >:

And yet, I'm feeling them! :/ Bleh. Gonna be a lot of people at the con, but it's okay! If I can't cope I can leave! And it'll probably be fine!!! >: I enjoy nerdy events, just. Peopleeee ugh crowds. Also, first time going to something like this by myself, which is Inherently Scary. Sigh.

Haven't got the switch cover done, which is annoying, so I probably won't take it with me. Not sure if happy or not about that hahahahaha oh well, whatever.

Got all my dragons cleaned up and put in the cabinet! There's still HEAPS of room, so I'mma go collect moar dragons, since my father doesn't want his any more. There will be a HUGE HOARDE YESSSSSS >D

So today I got a display cabinet! :D

The timing of this is actually a coincidence, it's my Birthday-Christmas present from my parents, hahaha.

Anyway it's a nice old wood veneer one, couple of shelves with sliding glass doors, plus a little cupboard and drawer on one side. :3 :3 :3

Going and getting it + moving it + associated cleaning ate up most of my energy today, but I'm very slowly moving dragons into it! (The slowness is because they need SERIOUS cleaning first. So much dust! :( But once it's done I shouldn't have to do it ever again because CABINET :D) I've also put my shells out!

Not sure exactly how much stuff will fit in, of course, but with all of the furniture moving I've got a lot of shit everywhere right now so orz orz orz so much cleaning and tidying and sorting in my future... It does need it though, and has for a while, so I will attempt to not bitch about it too much, hahaha.

While I did tidy a little bit, mostly I did fuckall today too, which is fine. I'm not gonna try and push myself at all this week. Also I slept like crap again, and it was FUCKING FREEZING so getting out of bed was... difficult... >>;; I probably would've slept until like 5pm if Mama wasn't home, honestly.

Tomorrow we're gonna go look at a display cabinet I might be getting, so I have to be awake in the morning, boooo. Hopefully it'll be less cold! My ankle is uh. Yeah. Not so great in the cold.

Day pmuch went as planned, for me, honestly. Went into the office to get my stuff/drop off their stuff, went to lunch with everyone, etc. etc. Everyone is sad to see me leave, which is always nice. Boss was the most upset seeming, actually! :( He's usually got a lot of enthusiasm - subtle like, he's also very reserved, but definitely there. Buuut that was all gone today, he was definitely sad. :( :( :(

That's really what got to me the most, honestly. Just. Uuuugh no it's fine, Boss, you did what you could! It's not your fault!!!

ANYWAY I'mma miss those motherfuckers, they were a super great bunch to work with! :(

So.... I got made redundant today. (People keep telling me I shouldn't call it 'being fired' but like. C'mon.) SO THAT WAS A SURPRISE.

I'm not SUPER upset about it or anything, but I wasn't expecting it at all. Also I really don't wanna look for a job or anything uuuuugh.

Gotta go into the office one last time tomorrow to drop off the laptop/swipeycard, and pick up all my desk decorations and stuff, and go and get lunch with everyone. Coworker C also got made redundant, which sucks way more for her - she's older and she has kids, so getting a new job quickly is both more important and harder :( :( :(

Anyway, aside from that my day was pretty nice actually. Weather was still good (it's apparently going to get feral again soon), so went for a walk with Mama, and was basically just a potato otherwise. I feel like I deserve a potato day! Or two!

Not a whole lot today. Went for a walk with Mama, which was nice! Gorgeous weather, too, while the sun was out.

Mainly just reading, though. I am fic devourer, as per usual, sigh. Did some knitting, too, so there's that at least.

Actually did more than usual, for a Saturday! Helped Mama out with a thing, did the chook coop... also wasn't really able to sleep in due to a combination of knowing I needed to help Mama out, and thus stress-dreaming about deadlines etc., and also my parents talking just outside my door for a while. Not loudly or anything, just enough that I couldn't really drift back off. Bleh! Was in bed for ages, but not really resting, you know?

Made some definite progress on the switch cover, though, which is something! :3 Haven't really been playing pokemon but I took a peek at the current events tab I still have open and there's another shiny event soooo I've downloaded that. Not playing it right now though it's almost 2am I'm not THAT dumb. Mostly.

So yeah to bed with me, hopefully I'll be able to sleep in tomorrow! :3

Work was fine, today! More or less!

Not a lot other than that, either, though my switch case is not quite halfway knit! Was able to do a bunch of knitting during work hours, due to not doing any audit today, so that was very nice.
